Franchisee Of The Year
In 2004, together with her husband (Robin), Catherine decided to start her own business to further challenge their combined capabilities in management and sales. After several recommendations, they decided to consider a 7-Eleven franchise. Its attractive business model and close collaborative partnership impressed her.
She began with an assertive desire to do well when she took over her first store in a mall, which was then named Compass Point. The mall had very high foot traffic which meant that managing it would be risky but she was hungry for a challenge.
Starting a whole new journey was not easy with many things to get accustomed to and manage. She applied herself, working smart with tools given by the brand and within a short few months, managed to surpass expectations and gain recognition from 7-Eleven. She was offered an option of a second franchised store shortly after.
In the 14 years of business partnership with the brand, Catherine managed to open 7 franchised stores and gained a lot through successes and failures. Catherine and Robin have become seasoned franchise partners in this field but the passion for the business still blazes on.
